Firmware Upgrade Warnings for Product QSDF8204C4-250 with DVR #
CAUTION: Updating the firmware incorrectly or using an update on the wrong DVR can permanently damage the chipset on the DVR and make it unusable. Please verify that this update is written for your model and follow the instructions. Also, updates are written to either resolve performance issues or to add features to the DVR. Since any update could fail and cause problems, if you are not experiencing the issue the update was written to resolve, or you do not need the feature that is added by the update, please do not run the update.
Firmware upgrade for models QSD2304L, QSTD5304, and QSDF8204 version 1.2.0- 90513. This Firmware has the following functions:
1. Adds DDNS support for DYNDNS and NO-IP servers
2. Adds support for more languages: Chinese, English, Spanish, Czech, Turkish, Japanese, Hebrew, Russian, German, and Norwegian.
3. Corrects a CMS connection bug in old version, CMS can connect to 2304/5304/8204 without ID and password.
4. Corrects a reset bug, in old version, normal users can do factory reset / default setup.
5. Corrects an input bug, in old version, in any language except English, the software keyboard did not display completely.
6. Fixes Alarm out hold time. If set for 5 seconds, then the alarm beep will stop after 5 seconds.
To upgrade the firmware, follow these steps: Download the file “td2304l_V1.2.0_90513.tar”from the next page. Do not unzip this file and just copy the “td2304l_V1.2.0_90513.tar” file to a USB flash drive and make sure there are no other files on the USB flash drive. Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the DVR. Go to Menu-Manager Tool – Firmware Update and follow the instructions. Once it is done, the new firmware version will be 1.2.0 – 090513.
